Colin Meloy -Live at the Phoenix 19.04.08

Last night Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy brought his solo acoustic tour into Toronto, playing to an enthusiastic audience. This tour was preceded by the release of Colin's acoustic live album appropriately titled "Colin Meloy Sings Live." Therefore it was surprising to witness Colin digging deep into the Decemberists catalogue, playing only one song that appears on the live album.

Notable songs included:

-Apology Song
-Red Right Ankle
-Shankill Butchers
-O Valencia
-Everything I Try to do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right
-The Perfect Crime #2
-Shiny
-Summersong
-Leslie Ann Levine
-Clementine

He also played two new songs (that were possibly two parts of the same story) about a young miner and a funeral, which may signal that there is a new Decemberists album in the works.

Here is a video clip that reminds me that I need a camera that takes better videos.
